Picok 1.0.6 released!

This update fixes a bug where Portlet content was fetched twice when saving the config, also we fixed a bug when deleting subfeeds in not standard language. Some encoding issues have also been addressed.

Picok 1.0.5 released!

This update adds optional logging of method calls to enable analysis of the usage of Picok inside the administration interface.

Picok 1.0.4 released!

A small update making it possible to enable sandboxing for feeds via the admin panel. Also fixed a bug that could cause deleting a portlet icon if a portlet is updated without changing the icon as well.

Picok 1.0.3 released!

This release fixes a few minor issues that slipped through the QA procedures ahead of the last release. One issue prevented the configuration editing to work properly in the administration interface, the other caused issues when using the timetoleave portlet with a proxy server.

We also managed to slip in some more features for the feedreader portlet. In the last release we added support for allowing users to add new feeds themselves. We will now update the settings accoridng to the current configuration. The user provided URL to the source will however only be updated if the setting is currently empty, to prevent malicous modifications to existing portlets. Furthermore we have added a search interface for feeds in the administration tool. This way administrators can also find and edit feeds created by users.

Picok 1.0.2 released!

Following the first maintenance release of Picok, the development team is happy to announce the immediate availability of Picok 1.0.2. The focus again has been fixing bugs, updating portlets to changes in the APIs made by the relevant service providers and improving stability. Installing Picok should now also be easier as the system now handles configuration errors more gracefully and more importantly, there is now a simple script to help check if the server configuration is correct.

A few new features for end users have also made it into this release. For example it is now possible to recommend a portlet in a specific configuration to anyone, even users that are not yet using Picok! The feedreader portlet now also supports separate URL's for each language.

Administrators also benefit from numerous usability improvements. For example portlets can now only be removed if they are not active, the portlet management interfaces are now much better interlinked to make it easy to quickly make adjustments to all aspects of a portlet.
